Every adventure shows the real estimated cost so everyone can see what it would normally cost — but the club covers it all. Parents: your kids never need money for the club. 🌈

These rules and wisdom were passed down to the Fab 5 from family. We live by them now — they belong to all of us. 💛

The Duke of Ed Award has been running since 1956 in 130+ countries and it works! Real DofE starts at 14 — until then we practise here. Every great adventure has 4 ingredients:

Peer guidance = friends helping friends grow. Not bossy — kind, supportive, accountable.
Peer regulation = the group keeps each other safe and happy.

- Who told a parent the plan & return time?
- Who is paired with who (buddy system)?

🎖️ How the Leader Merch Works
We have a gold t-shirt, hoodie & cap for the "Leader of the Day". Whoever wears it for an event is the team leader — their job is to ask the team-leader questions and keep everyone happy & safe. The role rotates fairly so everyone learns to lead AND learns to follow. After each event the crew gives the leader peer feedback (kind, helpful — not bossy!).

Ask a grown-up to help with one of these Aussie print-on-demand services — upload the design and order:

🐾 Pup-tip from Pebbles: Order in size XL leader merch first so it fits anyone in the crew when they're the leader. The crew shirts can be in each person's own size with their name embroidered on the sleeve!

📖 How Awards Work
After every adventure, the crew nominates each other for badges based on what they actually saw. Pebbles can also award badges when she sees great behavior in the chat. The reasons are SPECIFIC — "Elijah carried Sienna's kayak up the bank when she was tired" — not vague like "good job".
